Omega Saws Pty Ltd was established in 1966, specializing in the manufacturing of precision power saw blades. The company quickly earned a reputation for quality and durability, becoming a trusted supplier in Australia’s industrial tooling sector. However, with the decline of the hand saw market and the shift toward overseas manufacturing, operations were suspended and the original plant was sold.
A Strategic Pivot
In response to emerging demand in agriculture, the founding family rebranded the company as , shifting its focus to manufacturing high-performance agricultural and industrial cutting solutions. This strategic pivot positioned the company to serve a growing niche with customized, reliable products made for tough Australian conditions.

Decades later, in 2023, a new chapter began. Diwakar Reddy, a mechanical engineer with deep technical acumen and entrepreneurial drive, took over the reins of Blades. About Our Director
Diwakar Reddy, the Director of Blades, moved to Australia in 2003 to pursue his Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering. With a strong belief in the potential of Australian manufacturing, he developed a deep passion for revitalizing the local industry. Years later, that vision led him to take over Blades, one of Australia’s legacy names in industrial blade solutions. Under his leadership, the company is not only preserving its heritage but also evolving rapidly.
Diwakar is actively investing his time, capital, and technical expertise into expanding Blades’ product portfolio, driving innovation, and re-establishing Australia as a hub for high-quality manufacturing.
